Samba eXPerience 2005

quo vadis Desktop-Linux?

"samba eXPerience 2005" from May 2nd to 4th 2005 in Göttingen

Linux on client computers is an upcoming solution that many IT managers
think about. Most of the consideration is about applications - but in
bigger installations the network protocols should be worth a second
thought: NFS - AFS - GFS - CIFS - what is the right solution?

In two talks the Samba Team will focus this question at the sambaXP:
Volker Lendecke will report from big installations about experiences with
those network protocolls and Jeremy Allison will give an overwiew about the
answers that the Samba Team might have in stock with "CIFS to the desktop".

15 additonal talks from developers, users and vendors will show the
particular importance of this Free Software alternative for Windows clients.

Like last year an additional 6 hour tutorial track with Gerald Carter about
Samba 3 will include Active Directory integration of Samba servers.

All information about the conference, talks and party, registration and
hotel reservation is updated regularly at

                         http://sambaXP.org

Feel free to contact the local organizing committee for any question via
email (loc@sambaXP.org), by phone or fax at any time.

The samba eXPerience 2005 is kindly supported by Novell.
