    TOLEDO, Ohio, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Think-Linux: The Solutions Show, the
third midwest Linux regional expo and conference, will be held in Toledo,
Ohio, October 30-31.
    The event represents the shift that is taking place within in the Linux
community by focusing primarily on end-user applications of Linux rather than
on software development.
    Show sponsors hope to attract decision makers of public and private
organizations who need lower cost solutions to information technology
problems.
    Keynote addresses from representatives of the sponsoring companies IBM and
HP will also highlight the two-day event.  Other companies that have worked
with various vendors to implement Linux in a wide variety of application will
relate their experiences on a full day of breakout sessions on the first day.
    The second day will consist of exhibits by the premier Linux vendors in
the industry along with .org booths exhibiting the most popular software
available for the Linux platform.

popularity increased during the dot com 90s.  The number of Linux applications
has increased exponentially, becoming a viable alternative to fixed,
