Um, excuse me, but I simply refuse to allow good people to be called "bad apples" because they refuse to use closed-source software. People who really do not get it at all, such as Mr. McVoy, would qualify for that label in my mind. This whole soap opera surrounding the BK license (as embodied in its colorful colloquial name mentioned in the LWN story) strikes me as a telling contrast to the stability of the GPL and the consistency and true openness of the FSF.
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if suddenly we get some patent claims popping up trying to land-grab the whole concept of a source code control system... time will tell...
