It is good that Wind River have seen that been adversarial is not particularly a useful way to do business. It is also good that they have listened to their customer base. VxWorks is an excellent specialist system and I wouldn't want to use a VME crate without it. Linux is an excellent generalist system and I wouldn't even try to solve fuzzily-defined or highly generic problems without it. As for banning negativity and antipathy in the company - if honors have any meaning in today's world, if this guy can deliver on a promise like that, he deserves the full set.
