William Harold Newman has announced SBCL 0.8.21 on 27 March 2005.
Mainly new in this version are some incompatible changes (to threads,
the REPL, and initialization files loading), and a more robust x86-64
disassembler.
SBCL (Steel Bank Common Lisp) is a Common Lisp implementation based on
the CMUCL (CMU Common Lisp) sources, but it puts a greater emphasis on
maintainability. SBCL runs under Linux, MacOS X (Darwin on PowerPC),
xBSD and Tru64 on x86/x86-64, Alpha, AMD64, MIPS, PPC and SPARC CPUs.
