Kickstart compatibility?

So is that to say Ubuntu uses the anaconda port that Progeny did a while back? I've yet to install ubuntu (just burned the iso) but I'd be interested if anyone has some more details on Ubuntu's kickstart compatibility. I found this and based on the few details that were documented it does feel like a straight port of anaconda; please correct me if I'm wrong.
