Why not to restrict the set of packages instead of architectures?
"Stable" could be something that a server system needs and desktop systems
would be always on the bleeding "testing"-edge. At the moment Linux
desktop is anyway moving forward so fast that I'm not sure how anybody can
call it stable. :-)
