Debian proposes dropping most architectures

There is a flamefest/heated discussion going on on debian-devel even as we
speak. A couple of points: Sarge _will_ release with 11 fully supported architectures - and may release soon. There are differences of opinion about the cut-off points for the architectures that will be supported - expect some more considered/agreed guidelines to float up out of the -devel arguments currently going on. Debian is not going away any time soon, as far as I can see - it remains to be seen how it can continue to scale appropriately. Give the developers time to absorb this, work towards a reasoned solution and come out with the best Debian they can. [Note: full disclosure: I am a Debian developer, no, I haven't contributed to the -devel discussion yet :) ]
