LinuxWorld Expo Boston: Final Day Wrapup (Linux Journal)

Linux Journal wraps up its LinuxWorld coverage. "Given that LinuxWorld Expo has such an overwhelming business tradeshow ethos, where does that leave the communities and dot orgs that fostered Linux and open source in gaining the "moral high ground" Bruce Perens mentioned yesterday? At this show, it left them on the other side of a literal great wall."

Would that be a metaphorical literal wall or a literal literal wall?

Well, more like a half wall.

Basically, there were two large rooms, which were connected by a short hall, containing phone booths and freight elevators. The main entrance was in the .com room, and from there, you had to go in about two booths deep and turn right to get to the .org Pavilion.

You could also just turn right just as you came in, and you'd walk right into the .org.

The wall was mostly around the elevators and some unused concession areas.
