Some Thoughts on the Current State of 64-bit Computing
One important advantage of 64bit is memory - 64bit Linux has no problems
with 1GB, 4GB or 64GB RAM. For the 32bit version, you need to recompile
when you upgrade RAM.
Currently, a good workstation uses 1-4GB of RAM, and that level will
increase - so 64bit is good for now, and superior later.
