Mandrakelinux Corporate Server 3.0 receives LSB 2.0 certification

Moreno Valley, Ca; Paris, France - February, 7th 2005 - Mandrakesoft
today announced that its newly released Mandrakelinux Corporate Server
3.0 server solution has received LSB 2.0 certification, following its
longstanding tradition of support for open standards.

The result of several years of experience in the critical server
application field, Corporate Server 3.0 provides outstanding
robustness, scalability, reliability and 5-year maintenance to
business customers, along with the ease of use for which Mandrakesoft
products are renowned.

Mandrakelinux Corporate Server 3.0 received LSB 2.0 certification
on January 26th 2005. This certification is a strong guarantee of
perfect compatibility with Linux applications.

This certification is in line with Mandrakesoft's earlier announcement
about its participation in the Linux Core Consortium (LCC): going
forward, the Corporate Server line of products will be based on the
LSB-compliant LCC operating system architecture.

"We're delighted to have the Corporate Server 3.0 LSB-compliant. This
is a significant achievement for our corporate products strategy, and
will add weight to our efforts to continue growing our large base of
ISVs", declared François Bancilhon, Mandrakesoft CEO.

The Linux Standard Base is a set of standards developed and promoted to
increase compatibility among Linux distributions and to enable software
applications to run on any compliant system.

"We congratulate Mandrakesoft on their certification to the LSB
Runtime Environment Version 2.0," said Andrew Josey, Director of
Certification at The Open Group. "LSB certification is a critical
foundation for the long-term market success of Linux. Together with
the LSB specification, it provides the necessary standardization of a
binary platform for volume Linux applications."

The Open Group developed and now operates the LSB Certification program
on behalf of the Free Standards Group.

About the LSB

An initiative of the Free Standards Group, the Linux Standard Base
(LSB) is a set of standards designed to increase compatibility amongst
Linux distributions and enable applications to run on any LSB-compliant
system. The advent of LSB 2.0 is revolutionary in that it allows ISVs
to create "shrink-wrapped software" for the Linux platform in much the
same way they already do for Windows.
