MontaVista Software Expands Distribution in Taiwan
Leading Systems Software Provider Accelerates Penetration of Asian Markets
SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 7, 2002 ‹ MontaVista Software Inc., the company
powering the embedded revolution, and ELT Inc. Taiwan branch (ELT), a system
integrator and solutions provider of embedded Linux, today announced they
have joined forces to distribute and support MontaVista Software products in
Taiwan.
Under terms of the agreement, ELT will market and distribute the full range
of MontaVista products, including MontaVista Linux® Professional Edition,
MontaVista Linux® Carrier Grade Edition, Visual Age® Micro Edition for
MontaVista Linux, Qt/Embedded for MontaVista Linux and MontaVista Graphics
in Taiwan. ELT will also provide first-line technical support for local
embedded software developers.
ELT develops a variety of solutions based on MontaVista Linux such as
Linux-based development environment tools, emulators and target platforms.
In addition, ELT Taiwan provides multiple system integration services
including porting from legacy RTOS to MontaVista Linux, and creating custom
drivers.
