Mike Thomas, on behalf of Camm Maguire, has announced GCL 2.6.6 on 19
January 2005. This version, the latest in the `stable' series,
changes the format of executable files and fixes a batch of bugs.
GCL (GNU Common Lisp) is the official Common Lisp implementation for
the GNU project. "Its design makes use of the system's C compiler to
compile to native object code, providing for both good performance and
facile portability."
