Of course. The problem is not "if Sun made such move out of malice".

The problem is that Sun was able to do this - and it's quite real problem: if tomorrow Sun will have "change of heart" and will recall all licenses... - there are literally nothing that can be done in short term.

RMS long ago written about it here. Looks like he was right after all...
