Since we are speaking for Linus here, I'd wager long odds that "He dosen't give a S#*t". RMS made some good points. I think that he dwells on the subtle quite a bit, but when dealing with the law you have to. I think this subtletly is reflected in his attitude towards (GNU)Linux. Call it what you will, I don't think it matters in the slightest to the effect that software patents will have on society nor the quality of code produced by the open source movment. This discussion like most regarding RMS as a person is not relevant to the message that he was trying to get across. I haven't seen him trying to stir up anything on the GNU/Linux frontier for quite sometime. What I really noticed about the article is his defense of Linus. Like most geeks working to gether, they get on each other's nerves at times, but respect and support the work that the other one does. That's what I think is important here.
