Yeap, I agree, too. This sounds like a potential marketing opportunity.
The roadmay concept does include the desire to control or regulate the outcome...so from that standpoint it is probably a bad idea to use the roadmap terminology. I think one of the UK linux mags does a kernel trends column - which is very much like the lwn kernel pages. Expand that with some techno mumbo jumbo about the advantages of specific technologies, and their likelihood of inclusion into the mainline kernel, and you have a $1M service.
