About Firestarter

   Firestarter is visual firewall tool for GNOME. The program aims to
   combine ease of use with powerful features, serving both desktop
   users and administrators.

   The program features a friendly setup wizard, a real time firewall
   event monitor and an advanced rules based system for creating traffic
   policy. The program also helps you set up Internet connection sharing
   in just a few clicks, or port forwarding when used on a LAN.

Major changes in this version

   - Completely redesigned user interface
   - New security policy system allows for much greater flexibility,
     including the new ability to restrict outgoing traffic
   - Enables DHCP service for use with Internet connection sharing
   - Shows your connections and their associated programs, including
     traffic routed through the firewall when acting as a gateway
   - Many usability improvements
