Version 0.7.8 of SBCL has been released. This version features a
Beta-quality port to the MIPS architecture under Linux, cleaned up compiler
handling of TYPE-ERRORs, improved argument type checking, optimization
changes, the new extension SB-DEBUG:BACKTRACE-AS-LIST and a number of bug
fixes.

SBCL (Steel Bank Common Lisp) is a Common Lisp implementation forked from
CMU CL (CMU Common Lisp) which puts a greater emphasis on maintainability.
SBCL runs under Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and Tru64 on x86, Alpha, MIPS, PPC
and SPARC CPUs.
