YOPY.AT brings the new YOPY Linux PDA 3500 to Europe this year

YOPY.AT, European distribution partner of the korean manufacturer 
G.Mate Inc. introduces the new model of the well known YOPY
Linux PDA, the YP3500. 
 
Compared to the recent model YP3000 the YP3500 has much more
memory. The handy device now offers 32 MB Flash ROM
(YP3000=16) 
and 128 MB RAM (YP3000=64). It is still powered by the
StrongARM 
206 MHz Processor because Xscale does not offer any
advantage to 
the user yet.   

The display offers a resolution of 240 to 320 pixels at 65k
colors 
and comes now with background light support. The light can
also be 
disabled to achieve more working time with the fixed
battery. 
 
Besides of input methods using the stylus pen and
handwriting 
recognition the new Yopy model offers a redesigned QWERTY
keyboard 
with some special keys.  

An improved speaker, a visualized alarm and a attachable
stylus pen 
round up the smart design.  

Despite the serial cable all accessories of the former
YP3000 model 
can also be used with the YP3500. 

Regarding the operating system and applications there are
also some 
news. Along with the new Yopy Linux distribution, called
Linupy 2.0 
you have the Boa webserver and mySQL for remote PIM
syncronication 
using your PC running any web enabled OS. The Linupy also
offers an 
email client and the Dillo webbrowser to go online with the
YP3500. 

In addition to yet available multimedia applications like
MP3 player, 
voice recorder, grafic- and note-pad the YP3500 may be
released with 
a full office suite. 

Since most of this year planned production is already sold
to an asiatic 
telco company (SK Telecom) YOPY.AT has initiated an "Early
Sunrise" - 
preorder event to ensure european customers a delivery this
year. 
"With that event we are able to promise all customers having
their Yopy 
YP3500 lying under their cristmas tree!" says Claus Pfleger,
sales manager 
of YOPY.AT 

During the "Early Sunrise" period the new Yopy YP3500 is
offered at a 
special discount price (60 Eur off compared to normal
pricing) and giving 
a free stylus pen classic as well. 

During the "Early Sunrise" period ordered YP3500 will be
deliverd 
directly and across over Europe first in - first out as soon
as they will 
be available for shipping.
