Slackware Linux Posted Nov 18, 2004 18:28 UTC (Thu) by Alan_Hicks (subscriber, #20469) [Link] Several of the regular contributors on alt.os.linux.slackware adn #slackware on irc.freenode.net have banded together to begin security updates for Slackware during Pat's medical leave of absence if you will. We began work yesterday (2004-11-17) and should soon have a working site up at http://slacksec.fredemmott.co.uk/ withing a short time. Already we've begun creating updated packages for security vulnerabilities and should have those hosted on a fat pipe soon. For all those inquiring as to Pat's current status, as of 2004-11-17 around noon EST he had departed for the Mayo Clinic.
