Oh we should have thought about such comments...! More seriously: please understand that the goal here is not to promote one Linux standard like UL tried to do. LCC's goal is to promote *the* Linux standard - LSB & its extensions - by maintaining an implementation of this standard, and work on interoperability, for instance by solving package management issues due to differences between DEB & RPM (for instance).

Unfortunately LSB 2.0 is completely broken as far as C++ is concerned.

No standard is perfect. If thats its only problem, then LSB is doing fine.
