What a negative pile of complete rubbish. If you feel like that, then I can only guess that the rest of the world has wronged you too. I've had a far better experience with Gnome, KDE, and the various Linux distributions than you've suggested. Things are getting better, as far as I'm concerned.

By the way, I've used RedHat 8 and 9. Neither was a disaster, although 9 was much better than 8. I've always been more of a gnome user though. KDE has seemed pretty nice in the Fedora releases.
