(NewsForge) Trademarks aren't a serious threat. Indeed, they're a help. Trademarks don't halt forks of the code and setting things up yourself. One problem users have with forks is figuring out 'which is which -- trademarks actually make that easier. Yes, it makes forking a little harder, but not much.
