Unfortunately, unless I'm being uncharacteristically dense, there is no UNIX source code for this release.

It's not specific to Thunderbird. There are no source tarballs for Firefox 1.0RC2. There are no sources for nightly snapshots. I guess we are supposed to check them out from CVS now. According to http://www.mozilla.org/source.html, "[s]ource drops to the FTP server usually occur monthly"

The mozilla guys build their releases from CVS. Source tarballs usually turn up a while after the fact. By pulling the source tree using the correct tag, you should be able to build thunderbird-0.9.

Then I stopped, since I dont actually want the sources right now.
