Posted Oct 27, 2004 17:12 UTC (Wed) by tjc (guest, #137) [Link] It might work well if Debian just forgot about the desktop side of their stable release and let Ubuntu, UserLinux, Progeny, etc. take care of that. I know a lot of people using Debian stable on servers, but as a desktop system it's just to out of date for most people. Targeting Debian stable as a server OS on a single disc would really speed up the release process.
