Windows v Linux security: the real facts (Register)

The Register does some myth busting on the subject of Windows vs. Linux security. "Myth Statistics 'prove' that Windows has fewer, less serious security issues than Linux, that Windows issues are always fixed, and that they are fixed faster.
Fact Quite a broad collection of 'facts' exist in this category, but what they have in common is the (actual) fact that they are usually based on single metrics, on a single aspect of measuring security.

If I may .. great article on the part of The register and John Lettice ..

Probably going into another M$ tirrade is not going to fix things, but hopefully people in the network business should ´by now´´ realize that if they want to stay in business in this ever changing cruel world of hackers and spies, and god knows what else i read in the past week, they should look for alternatives.
Do i blame M$ for sharing only positive news, like the sneaky car salesman, would you? Í blame them them for ripping people off.

The possiblilty of people using linux more keeps popping up as if it were an excuse for microsoft. linux has been around for 10 years , shit has happened but historically and for the future it seems linux will be a better solution for most. lacking the desktop, who cares, get them fedora or mandrake, but dont change the core for the sake of making it easy.
When i try to imagine Steve Ballmer (please ..only to actually wonder whats going on in that persons mind: he is wicked) , i laugh because I remember a video of Mr. Ballmer at some M$ thingy jumping up and down like a monkey screaming; something like "I love this company" while eager supporters yelled like he was the 2nd coming of christ.

the moral of the story , i wouldnt touch Windows with bea arthurs dick.... but i do once in awhile ...
