And that part of the license is probably not enforcable in many jurisdictions throughout the world.

I must admit to never trying, but I have this feeling that you cannot install it to another computer than the brand/model you bought it with...

Anyone that has tried?

yep, that's true. those copies of XP are locked in some way, as "OEM copies".

I found this out when I tried to install my Thinkpad's licensed copy of XP into a VMWare partition. (I don't use XP on the hardware itself, but I couldn't buy a Thinkpad without it -- grr!! -- and a VMWare instance running under linux, if/when I need it, would be useful.)
