Maybe I'm just woke up but I looked at the announcment..
No KDE at all? I see GNOME 2.8 Release Candidate, but not KDE..
Anyone tested the ISO's already?

yes kde is there, but focus is on Gnome.
And Fedora test 2 is RH beta 1- not saying that Fedora is a beta... or..
But Fedora is stable so RH 4 probably will rock

You can still download the sources, no problem.

And indeed the binaries of the beta are likely to be the best platform
for initially rebuilding the sources of the final release version for
projects like Whitebox etc.

Uh, if you run a RedHat commercial distribution, this release gives you the ability to test your apps against the new version. RedHat doesn't only release this so you can help them, they do it so you can help yourself...
Oracle Support?

How long before we can expect Oracle to install and run cleanly on RHEL4? We still have Oracle 9i running on RHEL2.1 because of problems (perceived or real) with RHEL3. This situation hurts because running different versions of the OS brings with it higher maintenance and support costs. I need a software compatibility list before I start testing this.

Hrm. I've got it running cleanly AND 9i is certified on RHEL3, so you should be able to bug Oracle and/or RH if you are having trouble.
