Yahoo's Games Domain notes the release of
a Linux demo for Unreal Tournament 2004. "Epic Games continues to
shower the gaming community with gifts as the new Linux demo for Unreal
Tournament 2004 is made available. The new demo contains all of the
features that were implemented with the Windows version."

Hrmm, of course UT 2004 for Linux, as a full game, has been available for a long time. I played it quite a bit when it came out and eventually resold it on Amazon. The Linux edition is in the box with the Windows edition. The Linux (and Mac) ports were coded and are maintained by icculus.

Yes - the UT 2004 Demo for Linux was first released more than seven months ago. The release mentioned by this story is merely a patch to the existing UT 2004 Linux releases. Linuxgames.com has the details on v3334.

It shouldn't be that much longer...
I've had doom3 on order with tuxgames.com since 2002 - I just got an email from them saying it ought to be ready around Oct 1 :)
