It hasn't come by its reliability out of a commitment to it, but rather by identifying classes of bugs, finding the extant examples, fixing them, and making sure they will be caught in the future. [Emphasis added]
Or perhaps in other words, the Linux development method is just as much about fixing the process as fixing the bugs, which is the right way to ensure that quality of the product continually improves.
