SCO's 3rd Quarter Teleconference - Transcript (Groklaw)

Groklaw has posted the transcript of SCO's 3rd Quarter Teleconference. "McBride: I, I, I think, Dion, to take that on, I, I believe that if you look at the claims that we have, we're, we're moving forward very nicely through the court system. At every turn of the way, there are IBM-sponsored web sites out there that claim that the next, the next claim is gonna be the one that SCO's going down. I mean, they've been saying this for a year. And the cases keep moving through. As Bert said we've retained one of America's, if not one of the world's, best litigators. They have a lot of confidence in our, our cases, and we look forward to having those cases tried in the courtrooms."

Yes, I'm sure Darl is scared by your lack of punctuation and inability to use the word "you're".

(The quality of LWN comments has been seriously declining lately. Where once I saw interesting evidence and discussion of the SCO case, I now find people unable to do anything but swear and call Darl names.)

It's dumb, but it's hard to resist, I'll say.

I often feel like swearing and calling people names, especially people who take money from felonious companies who are trying to muscle everybody but their friends...maybe even all but their paying friends, someday, out of the e-mazil system (and the Internet, and software developemnt in general if they can get away with it...)

...nonetheless, I agree that LWN isn't the best plaace to do the swearing and name-calling. It's much more fun to creatively express an opinion with at least a fact or two to back it up...

Probably the reason is, there is not much anymore to discuss about SCO, the
game is mostly over now.

Well, well, complaints about swearing and name calling... from the same person who only a few weeks ago called the author of cdrecord an 'asshole', merely for not releasing ALL his code under GPL (see http://lwn.net/Articles/98528/).
If you think the comments on LWN lack content and style, then submit informative comments yourself, instead of whining about others.

Now back to the courtroom, according to groklaw AutoZone's Emergency Motion to Stay is scheduled for today....

Either groklaw is making fun of him with their transcript, or it looks like he is developing a stutter.

They have a lot of confidence in our, our cases
So much confidence they have set a ceiling on the pending litigation costs (increasing the take on a pay out, ha ha) at $31 million. That's $31 million in fees, by the way. Having a lot of confidence in a case is usually demonstrated not by fees but by being contingency cases.

Oh, and I bet Gore thought similarly as Darl when Boies showed interest in his election case, too. Oops.
