[OT] What web camera is well supported by the stock kernel?

Thanks for the article.

I gave up and bought an expensive composite out video camera and btv capture card. Has any one found a cheap USB webcam that *is* well supported by the stock kernel? All USB cameras I've tried on Linux had painfully slow frame rates.

Another option is an Axis network cam. Bonus: they run Linux.
