GmailFS - using Gmail as a filesystem
It isn't necessary for GmailFS to support encryption. One of the things that makes Unix so powerful is being able to layer one set of functionality on top of another. For example, you could use EncFS (freshmeat.net/projects/encfs) to provide an encrypted filesystem on top of another filesystem (including a GmailFS based filesystem).
