Pardus Linux Security Advisory 2011-40 security@pardus.org.tr
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: 2011-02-14
Severity: 4
Type: Remote
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary
=======
A vulnerability has been fixed in PostgreSQL, which can potentially be
exploited by malicious people to obtain sensitive contents or to conduct
hash collision attacks
Description
===========
CVE-2011-0539:
The key_certify function in usr.bin/ssh/key.c in OpenSSH 5.6 and 5.7,
when generating legacy certificates using the -t command-line option in
ssh-keygen, does not initialize the nonce field, which might allow
remote attackers to obtain sensitive stack memory contents or make it
easier to conduct hash collision attacks.
Affected packages:
Pardus 2009:
openssh, all before 5.6_p1-31-7
Resolution
==========
There are update(s) for openssh. You can update them via Package Manager
or with a single command from console:
pisi up openssh
